Released in 2008 by Stackpole Books, Field Guide to Medicinal Wild Plants is a revised and updated second edition from the original 1978 self-published book by Bradford Angier, author of numerous best-selling books on nature and outdoor living. The revisions were made by David K. Foster, associate professor of biology and environmental science at Messiah College in Pennyslvania and member of the Society of American Foresters.

Color illustrations were drawn byArthur J. Anderson, with additional drawings by Jacqueline Mahannah and Kristen Workman.
