Rae Gunter Osgood

Rae Gunter Osgood was born in 1910 in Chicago, Illinois. She held degrees from Crane Junior College, the University of Illinois, and Northwestern University (MA in Counseling). Ms. Osgood worked in Chicago in the 1930s and early 1940s as a social worker and school teacher, and thereafter taught in the Los Angeles City Schools until retirement. She lived in Culver City, California prior to passing away. Together with Eva Meltz, they wrote And the Winds Blue Cold: Stalinist Russia as Experienced by an American Emigrant.
